Rawalakot: Thousands Gather at Dreik Ground, Defying Government Claims of Control
RAWALAKOT: A major development has unfolded in Rawalakot, Azad Kashmir, as thousands of protesters—including women and childre have gathered for a massive sit-in at the Dreik Ground (Dreik Eis Gah) following a strike call by the proscribed Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC). Images and videos capturing the scale of the immense gathering are currently going viral across social media platforms.
This massive turnout directly challenges recent official claims. The government had previously asserted that the sit-in at this specific location had ended and that security forces had successfully taken full control of the ground. However, the viral visuals surfacing from the site present a completely different reality on the ground, proving that the public demonstration remains highly active and strongly attended.
