In Pakistan-administered Jammu Kashmir, politics has for a long time been full of confusion, selfishness, and power struggles. Politicians keep fighting for power, buying and selling loyalties, and switching sides. Because of this, people have lost trust in politics. The parties that claim to represent the public are mostly busy sharing power among themselves. As a result, people’s hopes have been buried under loud but empty slogans.

This region, because of its political and geographical importance, has always been sensitive. Unfortunately, it has become a place where personal gain matters more than principles. In the name of democracy, groups with special interests have made people’s problems worse instead of solving them. The unfair and outdated system has not only weakened institutions but also made ordinary citizens feel helpless.

However, in this darkness, a new hope has appeared the Jammu Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee. This platform has made people realize that real change doesn’t come from leaders or power, but from unity, awareness, and continuous effort. The movement has proved that when people understand their strength, they can stand up to those who have controlled power for decades.

Now the question is not why the system is broken, but how to fix it. The first step is public awareness, people must understand that a vote is not just a piece of paper, but a promise and responsibility. The second step is accountability, leaders, institutions, and politicians must answer to the public. The third step is moral and social change , because no system can truly improve until people’s values and thinking also improve.

The recent struggle for rights in Pakistan-administered Jammu Kashmir shows that the people are ready for change. What’s needed now is for this awakening to become a long-term political and social movement based on justice, honesty, and public service. Real reform doesn’t come only from new laws it comes from a change in thinking.

If people stay aware, united, and value their vote and voice, the day is not far when this region will move out of its broken system and toward justice, fairness, and true democracy. Systems don’t change by themselves , people change them when they realize their power.
